Material aimed at new users of the infrastructure.¶
In this section we provide material aimed at new users and users who want to refresh their knowledge about basic aspects of working with our services. The material is also expected to be useful for users of other HPC services, e.g. services offered by Swedish universities.
Linux commandline and Bash shell¶
To work on an HPC system a basic mastery of the Linux commandline is hightly recommended. NAISS training currently offers two courses.

Daily working with our systems and services¶
When starting to work on our systems, you have to connect and typically need to transfer data and/or code.

NAISS services have a lot of pre-installed software and scientific applications. To serve the needs of all members of the NAISS community this software is organised into modules. To access the software required by your tasks, you need to load the right modules.
To run computational jobs or AI workloads one has to work with the batch scheduler. The material describes the basics of a batch scheduler. The material utilises the SLURM system as a case study.
